Crème brûlée or French éclair…? Crème brûlée or French éclair…? Why not BOTH?
In this online baking class, you will learn how to make the classic French pâte à choux, or choux paste, from which éclairs, cream puffs and profiteroles are made. We will then give our pastries that certain “je ne sais quoi” and fill them with a rich vanilla-bean custard. Learn the professional tips to caramelizing sugar, giving your éclair the crispy exterior that is characteristic of a crème brûlée.
Participants will need to download and operate the Zoom app on their computers. Zoom is a digital conferencing app that we use to run all of our classes. Prior to the scheduled class, please sign up for a Zoom account, download the app to your computer, and test that your video and audio are functioning properly. A meeting link will be emailed to participants prior to the class, that can be clicked on at the beginning of the scheduled class time to join.
