Does seeing photos of precise layers upon layers of butter and pastry make you happy? Learn how to create them yourself with this online baking class.
You will learn about the process of dough lamination, and craft beautiful, flakey croissants that you can enjoy as a sandwich, with coffee, or simply on its own.
This is a 2-day class
Day 1: Jan 16, 2021, 1:00pm - 7:00pm (Intermittent hours)
Day 2: Jan 17, 2021, 8:00am - 10:00am.
On the first day you will learn how to make the dough and properly create the 243 layers that result in the beautiful rise and flakiness. One the second day, after a night of resting and proofing, we will cover the professional tips and tricks to properly shape and bake your croissants.
Prepare to be transported to a sidewalk café in Paris, no passport required!
Participants will need to download and operate the Zoom app on their computers. Zoom is a digital conferencing app that we use to run all of our classes. Prior to the scheduled class, please sign up for a Zoom account, download the app to your computer, and test that your video and audio are functioning properly. A meeting link will be emailed to participants prior to the class, that can be clicked on at the beginning of the scheduled class time to join.
